THE FRENCH KEMEST LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates thefrenchkemest.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors and customers of the Site.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number if you provide one. When you contact us, join our waiting list, or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and the content of your message.

Payment information. Card details are collected and processed directly by our payment provider. We never see or store full card numbers on our systems.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site we receive device and usage data: IP address, browser and operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and time on site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

How we use your information

• To process, fulfil, and deliver your orders, and to send order confirmations and shipping updates.
• To answer your questions and provide customer support.
• To notify you when a product you asked about is back in stock.
• To send marketing emails, where you have asked to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
• To understand how the Site is used, so we can improve it.
• To detect and prevent fraud, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the business, and only with what they need to do their job:

• Shopify, which hosts the Site and processes orders on our behalf.
• Our payment provider, to take payment and screen for fraud.
• Shipping carriers and fulfilment partners, to deliver your order.
• Our email and analytics providers, to send transactional and marketing email and to measure Site usage.

We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, in response to a valid legal request, or to protect our rights.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet tax and accounting obligations, normally seven years. Customer support messages are kept for two years. Marketing subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept in aggregated form.

Cookies

The Site uses cookies to keep your shopping cart active, to remember your preferences, and to measure traffic. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the Site may then not work properly.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, and to delete it. You also have the right not to be treated differently for exercising these rights.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources it came from, the purposes we use it for, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to; the right to delete it; the right to correct it; and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@thefrenchkemest.com. We will confirm your identity before acting on the request, and we will answer within 45 days. You may authorise an agent to make a request on your behalf.

Security

The Site is served over an encrypted connection and access to customer data is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers may process your information in the United States and in the European Union. Where information is transferred out of your country, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be announced on this page.
